Stage pts sums the bonus points won at the end of each stage (a green-flag pace signal that survives a bad finish). Ranked drivers have 3+ stops. Long-run pace shows each driver's best average speed (mph) over their fastest run of N consecutive green-flag laps in the most recent race — long-run speed predicts race pace far better than a single fast (qualifying) lap, so DFS and handicappers lean on the 20- and 30-lap numbers.
